About Kinigi Table View Menu
The Name
Kari comes from the first four letters of Mt. Karisimbi, Rwanda's tallest peak, visible from the distillery site.
The Legacy
It honors Dian Fossey's Karisoke "Kari" Research Center, founded in 1967 between Mt. Karisimbi and Mt. Bisoke. Kari marks her legacy of protecting the mountain gorillas.
